Electricity in North Cyprus is supplied by the state utility Kıb-Tek. Tariffs are tiered: residential use is charged ₺5.8614^{7 Jul 2026 ↗} per kWh for the first 250^{7 Jul 2026 ↗} kWh, with higher unit prices as consumption rises. These tariffs apply from 1 Haziran 2026^{7 Jul 2026 ↗}.

Getting connected

Applications are handled at Kıb-Tek district offices. Required documents and deposits vary; confirm with Kıb-Tek before applying. Kyrenia's district office page names a "Deposit Refund Unit," which confirms deposits are part of the process, but no amount is published on any Kıb-Tek page.

Water

Water is a municipal service, and each municipality runs its own online payment/application system. Verified for this guide:

Lefkoşa Türk Belediyesi's (Nicosia municipality) water subscription and payment process could not be verified for this guide; confirm directly with the municipality.
