Ercan Airport: Contact, Terminal Facts and Getting Out

Ercan Airport is operated by T&T Airport Management (a Taşyapı and Terminal Yapı partnership, operator since 2013). Below are the airport's official contact details, terminal facts, and what's available once you land.

The current official site uses the .aero domain; the older .com domain may be an outdated backup — use .aero for current information. Numbers can change; confirm current details on the airport's own contact page.

Terminal

The new terminal opened on 20 July 2023: 128,000 m² of terminal building and 85,000 m² of parking space.

Getting out of the terminal

Per the airport's own Passenger and Visitor Guide, you can leave the terminal by bus, taxi, or car rental, and arrange currency exchange or parking on site; each option is detailed below.

• Bus — 13 lines operate from the terminal. The TRNC Public Information Office's (PIO) official transportation page confirms that Cyprus Airport Services (KIBHAS) runs reciprocal bus service from Ercan to all cities, and that bus terminals exist in Lefkoşa, Girne, Gazimağusa, Güzelyurt, and Lefke. Per secondary sources, the service runs effectively around the clock, departing roughly every 2 hours depending on flight traffic (a delayed flight doesn't forfeit your ticket), with no fixed timetable; you can pay at the terminal desk, via the KIBHAS website/app, or on board. • Taxi — the taxi rank operates 24 hours. Per secondary sources (2026, varies by vehicle type/destination), one-way fares run roughly: Nicosia 2,000-2,300 TL, Kyrenia 2,500-2,800 TL, Famagusta 2,800-3,200 TL, Güzelyurt and Bafra/İskele 3,800-3,900 TL, with night rates (22:00-06:00) about 15-20% higher. • Car rental — 5 car rental offices are at the terminal (corporate firms such as Garenta and Budget, and local 24/7 firms such as Ayaz, FiGO, Trip, Falak, Sun and Pacific are commonly available in North Cyprus); brand names at Ercan specifically are not specified in the official source.
• Parking — paid; the first 20 minutes are free.
• Currency exchange — a counter named "MÜSMER EXCHANGE" is listed at the terminal.
• Other — multiple bank ATMs, a baggage wrapping service, and an information desk.

Flights

Per secondary sources, Ercan has direct (non-stop) flights only to Türkiye; every destination outside Türkiye is via an İstanbul, Ankara or Antalya transfer. Main airlines and direct points: THY (İstanbul-IST), Pegasus and AJet (İstanbul-SAW, Ankara-ESB, seasonal Antalya/İzmir/Adana, etc.), SunExpress (İzmir, Antalya). Distances to major towns

Per the TRNC Public Information Office's (PIO) official transportation page, Ercan Airport is roughly 23 km from Lefkoşa (Nicosia), 44 km from Girne (Kyrenia), and 50 km from Gazimağusa (Famagusta) by road. These are approximate town-centre distances and can vary with route and traffic.
