About Kıbrıspedia
Kıbrıspedia was built as an impartial, up-to-date information resource for anyone travelling to, studying in, or relocating to North Cyprus (TRNC).
Who's behind it
Kıbrıspedia is an independent information platform founded by Hasan Kerem Yavuz. It isn't the official channel of any government body, university, or agency — the content is researched and compiled independently.
Why it's impartial
Kıbrıspedia doesn't sell real estate or consulting services, and content is never written to drive a sale. Any partner referrals added in the future will be clearly labelled as "partner" and kept separate from editorial content.
How the figures stay current
Numbers such as exchange rates, the minimum wage, and electricity tariffs aren't typed in by hand — a data pipeline pulls them from official sources on a schedule (the North Cyprus Central Bank's exchange rates, the Labour Office's minimum-wage decision, Kıb-Tek's tariffs, and similar). Every guide shows a last-verified date and links to the official sources it relies on. Changes tied to regulations or thresholds are never published automatically — a person reviews and approves them first.
Sourcing policy
Content is built on official sources first. Claims that can't be verified aren't published; where something is variable or unclear, the guide says so directly — "this can vary, confirm with the official source" — and links to that source.
