The European University of Lefke (EUL) is in Lefke, METU Northern Cyprus Campus is in Kalkanlı, and Cyprus Health and Social Sciences University (KSTU), nearby in Güzelyurt, also has verified contact details in this guide.

Cengiz Topel State Hospital and Lefke Health Centre are two separate facilities, often confused:

Housing

Per secondary sources, rent in the Lefke-Kalkanlı area (mostly sterling-denominated) runs roughly £150-300 a month. METU NCC dorms at Kalkanlı run roughly 145,000-215,000 TL a year (some sources give 110,000-250,000 TL). The very limited-quota KYK dorms serving the Lefke/Güzelyurt/Famagusta area can come in far cheaper on a monthly basis, but places are hard to get. Common rental practice: 6-12 months of rent upfront + a 2-month deposit + a 1-month agency commission (sometimes +VAT); a currency-lock clause and a stated deposit-refund currency in the contract are worth insisting on.
